Max And Paddy's Road To Nowhere [dvd] Brilliant comedy. Like a very smart spoof on the entirety of the 80's US TV culture. Riffs on the A-Team, buddy movies, just fantastic stuff all around.
Defining moment - "I guess that's why they call it the blues". When I hear the song on the radio, I think of _this_scene_ and nothing more.

Phoenix Nights: Series 1 and 2 [dvd] Peter Kay is a friggin' genius. I have just gotten these after having watched the spinoff series "Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere", which is fan-fucking-tastic.

Layer Cake (Widescreen Edition) [dvd] I'll agree that I liked this movie, and that I am excited to see what he'll bring to the Bond movies, but there is one thing that bothers me about this film. The girl. She was like a prop. There were pieces of the set that I grew more attached to. The writer either doesn't get women or doesn't like them, because he sure as hell didn't write them into the script.

Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella [book] Listened to the audiobook version. Started shaky, but by the end I couldn't wait to drive somewhere to see what happened next, even though it was predictable. (finished: January 16, 2006)
